An attempt to see exactly how many gravitationally attracted particles can be brute force crunched on in parallel using gpgpu methods. Different machines are going to have different thresholds of pain.
2^14 Particles | 2^12 Particles | 2^10 ParticlesBy tweaking further parameters like unrealistic linear drag, or a cubic cohesion factor, odd things can be cooked up. Are there enough particles to see something vaguely galactic? Probably not.
